4 Stage Recovery

Four Stage Stolen Asset Recovery Process.

1)      The first step is the marking of assets.  Assets are marked with I-Dots provided by www.csi-dots.com. The I-DOT™ is a state of the art identification technology more commonly known as microdots. Each I-DOT™ is uniquely encoded with information which is applied using a sophisticated laser process.  This information is microscopic and can only be read through a magnifying viewer.  An I-DOT™ will be able to contain either the vehicle VIN - Vehicle Identification Number, HIN - Hull Identification Number of a boat, serial number of a trailer, or a unique PIN (Personal Identification Number).

2)      Step two entails the placement of the latest video and jpg capture equipment in the area of concern. The equipment is network ready capable of sending alerts with video and or jpg image attachments of activity back to the base station. With the remote capture at the base station, the intruders are unable to destroy any evidence of the premises intrusion activities.

3)      Step three is the placement of GPS stolen asset tracking devices on valuable assets. The GPS asset devices are geofenced. A Geofence is a virtual perimeter on a geographic area using a location-based service, so that when the geofencing device enters or exits the area a notification is generated. The notification can contain information about the location of the device and might be sent to a mobile telephone or an email account. Once a notification is received, the base station operator connects to the device via the internet and is able to track the assets movements. The device transmits its exact location and a team of recovery personnel are dispatch to recover the asset.

4)      The final step is the dispatch of recovery personnel. The recovery team is sent out with the coordinates of the assets location. They will receive continuous updates of asset movement right up to and including the point where movement ceases. GPS Technology is such that position accuracy can be obtained within 3 meters of the asset location.

In conclusion:

This four stage process will be posted by signage at the location of concern. The signage will state that assets at this location are tagged, traceable and covered by video surveillance. That in itself should be a deterrent, but as culprits are getting more and more brazen, the recovery process will be in place to capture the activities and trace it to the individuals responsible.

We can also provide a bait program option. We would set out a valuable piece of equipment tagged with I-Dots, equipped with GPS, and covered with video/jpg capture equipment.
